Postage and Packaging Rates
BirdWatch Ireland implements a table rate shipping method to apply shipping or postage and packaging charges. These are bands of charges, based on total purchased price. Your total purchase price is matched against a specific band and that shipping charge is used. BirdWatch Ireland charge basic shipping costs that reflect actual costs. Some Wings items are exempt from shipping charges. These include BirdWatch Ireland membership: please note that all new membership packs are posted out free of charge.
Our postage and packing charges for each order are calculated as follows:
Cost of goods up to €2: P&P charge = €2
Cost of goods between €2 and €10: P&P charge = €4
Cost of goods between €10 and €20: P&P charge = €5
Cost of goods between €20 and €30: P&P charge = €6
Cost of goods between €30 and €40: P&P charge = €7
Cost of goods between €40 and €100: P&P charge = €10
Cost of goods between €100 and €200: P&P charge = €15
Cost of goods between €200 and €500: P&P charge = €20
Cost of goods over €500: P&P charge = €25

Membership - Shipping Charge Exemption
The Wings on-line shop is a secure means to purchase products online. It is also a secure and hassle free means to paying and renewing annual membership fees. One can join BirdWatch Ireland as a member or purchase BirdWatch Ireland membership as a gift for an individual or group. Simply select the membership type from the BirdWatch Ireland subscriptions category, select it into your shopping cart and checkout as for any other product.
The software used by this site currently calculates a shipping charge automatically for your purchased products. Please note that despite this, BirdWatch Ireland does not apply shipping charges for any BirdWatch Ireland membership or membership renewal paid for on-line. Any such charge displayed by the software will not be charged to your credit card and if you are paying by other means such as cheque, you should exclude the shipping charge from your payment. BirdWatch Ireland apologises for this potential confusion or shortcoming; we hope to find a way to correct this anomaly as soon as we can. Please note that you can also take out more than one memberships as part of the same order, if you wish.
Dispatch Schedule
BirdWatch Ireland aims to dispatch your order as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours. Certain items, if out of stock, may take time for us to source. However all goods will be dispatched within 28 days of order, or if this is not possible, you will be contacted and given the option of either waiting or cancelling that portion of your order for a full refund. You can log in to the site at any stage using your password and track the status of your orders.
Returns
If you find any of the items you purchase from the BirdWatch Ireland on-line Wings Shop to be defective or you receive items in error, you can return them to us in their original packaging for a full refund. Exchanges or returns for any other reasons are not possible. Your statutory rights are not affected.
